9 weeks into school

No she doesn't have a beard! Just some areas on the face we have to know, but nice doobie I think.
My first haircut. It's got that longer on one side style. The question is, did I do that on purpose? I'm still trying to figure that out :-)
My bow tie style.

School is going along fine, but that's because I decided that it would. I'm learning very quickly that you have to want something bad enough to get up 5 days a week out of you comfortable bed, drive umpteen miles, to pay someone your good hard earned money just to teach you a thing or two about something you already know something about! Whew! But seriously, I want it. I want to know more than just a little bit about hair. I intend to be an expert in my field. That's why I'm working hard to get the understanding I need to pass the state board's exam. I decided to take a few pictures of my work. I want to see how I progress as time goes on.
My goal to complete my education in cosmetology and receive my license, then go on to take more classes to specialize in color and natural hair care.
(I don't think you have to be a licensed cosmetologist to work with natural hair, but you do however to apply color.)

  1. I think its great you "love" doing hair. So many people get into this profession and they don't update their skills and loose the "love" for their clients. Please don't let this happen to you. Nice blog.

  2. Thanks Sandra for reading and the encouragement. It sounds like you have knowledge in this field. Please continue to read and offer any suggestions or advise or just comments. Thanks again.
